  • Salute to the Negro Leagues presented by U.S. Bank

To honor the Negro Leagues and the 75th Anniversary of Jackie Robinson’s MLB debut, the Royals will host the Los Angeles Dodgers on Saturday, August 13th. We’ll play some ball and raise awareness and funds for the Negro Leagues Baseball Museum here in Kansas City. For the day, both the Royals and Dodgers will wear throwback uniforms. The Royals will wear 1945 Kansas City Monarchs home uniforms, and the Dodgers will wear 1955 Brooklyn Dodgers away uniforms, both teams sporting jerseys that the legendary Jackie Robinson would have worn. Starting that day, game-used jerseys, hats, batting helmets, and more will be auctioned off at royals.com/auction and dodgers.com/auction. All uniform auction proceeds will directly benefit the Negro Leagues Baseball Museum.

The first 10,000 fans through the gates will receive a Monarchs Pennant, presented by U.S. Bank.
